Q:Hi my name is Stephanie. This is my first request ever. I'd like to get an oracle reading perhaps? I'm really just interested in finding out how things will unfold in my future. I've been on a heart-healing journey & I'm not sure if I'm ready for a relationship yet. Should I just be alone and focus on my career? Thanks in advance.

. Welcome to As You Like It. I’m Kim Marks, the owner and founder of As You Like It. It has been a long journey to bring you this website. I have been a forest activist for seventeen years here in the Northwest. I have worked on everything from climate issues to labor issues to toxins, and I am very excited to use that knowledge to find body-safe products for our customers. We want to hear from you, so please feel free to leave comments.
. This post focuses on one element of my personal and business philosophy. You can learn more about what the rest of our values are here. This post incorporates elements from The Journal of EcoSexResearch (volume 1, issue 1), by Elizabeth M. Stephens and Annie M. Sprinkle, who also collaborate on and managesexecology.org. We’re very grateful for their permission and help in inspiring and creating this post.
. What is an ecosexual? Eco comes from the latin root oeco, meaning home or house. Ecosexuality, therefore, is about taking care of our home, Earth, in truly holistic way. Not only does this cover the usual suspects as far as environmentalism– recycling, composting, waste not want not mentality, but ecosexuality takes it one step further and brings environmentalism into our sex lives. Ecosexuals appreciate the inherent value of ecosystems, nature, and their part in it. While not essentially tied to consumerism, ecosexuals are also people who not only cares about what kind of materials their products are made of, but who also cares about where they come from, how they are made, and what happens to them when they are done being used. There are many ways to be an ecosexual, regardless of where one is on their own path of life. From buying toys locally sourced to reduce carbon footprints, to supporting companies that are working to reduce dangerous chemicals from the manufacturing process, from educating other and reposting blogs that deal with these issues, to coming to events that support ecosexual businesses, everyone can do something to help the planet and help themselves in the process.
. How does As You Like It support ecosexuality? As You Like It does all the dirty work for you. Here at AYLI, we research all of the products we carry to make sure that they meet a strict guideline for various levels of ecosexuality. Some things that we look for: body safe materials, fair labor practices, rechargeable products, products manufactured in North America to cut down on carbon footprint from shipping, materials that don’t harm the workers who manufacture the products, and materials that aren’t made from endangered species. We have a quick and easy visual system on our webstore that allows our customers to see some basics about the product their looking at (including Made in N. America, Rechargeable, and Body Safe). We’re encouraging our suppliers to become more interested in the manufacturing process and materials of their products. And we’re encouraging our customers to become more careful about where they put their money. By supporting AYLI, you’re supporting the furthering transparency of a market that is notoriously opaque. You’re supporting a company that is committed to putting ecosexuality, and all the things that go along with it (body positivity, sex positivity, and humanism), FIRST in our values.
What does ecosexual mean to you?
Astrology Forecast for July 23, 2014
Welcome to the New Moon in Leo! Time to get out there and show your bad self haha! What with the square to Mars and the Venus, Uranus, Pluto “T square” these are times of recreating ourselves anew, intuitively, lovingly, and joyfully. To that we have some old programming that needs to go. Free yourself from the past and a brighter future awaits……enjoy……Kaypacha
When I show my truth,
Without giving a reason,
I get in touch with the part of my heart,
That’s not bound by time, space, or season.
A storm is playing out in the sky and it is only starting! The New Moon next Sunday will consist of a difficult combination between Sun, Moon, Mars and Jupiter. This means that the end of July and most of August the tense and violent political situation in the world will continue to be very tense and even escalate! This New Moon will affect mostly the those born at the beginning of Leo, Taurus, Scorpio or Aquarius or with any planets there. The end of July and most of August they have to be careful for accident, conflicts, confrontations and battles with institutions/authority figures or being in dangerous places.
The most critical days to watch out for those affected will be(+/- a day): 25-30th July, 3 Aug, 10 Aug, 14Aug, 17Aug и 22-25.Aug.
Be particularly careful and alert on these days of you have any planets in the first 5 degrees of the fixed signs TAU, Leo, SCO, AQU.”
I have returned a week ago from the best week of my life - the EcoSexLab workshop. It consisted of 4 days in nature (we stayed at Prested Hall, Essex) and then 2 days of Talks & Performances at Colchester Arts Centre.
I have no words to describe of how amazing this was, i believe this is something that everyone has to experience. A week of community and love where you feel one with the world and pure fulfilment.
You might think this was a sex cult (due to it’s name), but it’s not. It’s a new movement that Annie Sprinkle and Beth Stephens are trying to spread out about changing the paradigm of Mother Earth, to Lover Earth. It’s a new form of activism where you embrace sexuality with nature and make activism in a fun way. We talked to nature, wrote love letters and we even married it. (sounds so hippie, i know!) We got taught some meditation techniques as well.
The last two days we had the symposium, which everyone that has attended had to present a talk or a project. We had special guests as well from all around the world. In total we calculated that we had 18 countries represented. The last picture is me with 2 other artists who i worked together with on our project.
Oh, by the way, this was the first international ecosex workshop, so next time they come, you better sign up for it because you won’t regret it!
After it all ended we had the chance to spend one more day with Annie & Beth and especially Annie Sprinkle’s 59th birthday! I have no words to describe how honoured i was to be around such an amazing woman at a such amazing private time. Before the surprise birthday party we have organised, we were part of their new show “Earthy - An ecosex bootcamp” which is still in production and will come back to Europe in the next 2 years.
So, for conclusion - get into this because it’s awesome!
Today is exactly 1 year since i have become an ecosexual! This was indeed the best time of my life and it has changed for better ever since. The EcoSex Symposium was actually the catalyst of this blog and my spiritual path.
At the time i was slowly accepting that i was guided upon spirituality and this week has proved to me why this is the right thing. During one of the exercises where we have written our love letters to Earth, when i went to hug the tree i was pinning my letter on, i have experienced my first nature healing! In less than a minute i have burst into crying and i have released so much. During our meditations and breathing exercises i felt the connection i had with the Earth’s energy and i couldn’t just not cry upon how have i forgotten this. My favourite moment was marrying the Earth and how the universe granted me the LoveLightWork name :)
So i can shout out loud that i’m a proud Ecosexual and will continue to work upon this amazing path! <3
